river walk with my 100-300mm

Walking around, and trying out my100-300mm canon rediscovered old lens.

My "deep dish" attempt wasn't a total failure it was just more of a NY style "pan pizza".

EF 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM

This is shot with an old lens from my film days I kinda forgot about. It's a
EF 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM, so it still works with my Canon EOS 1D, but it's really slow indoors. Not bad detail for hand held, f4.5 1/40s ISO800 100mm. I'm going to use it for carry around to avoid breaking an L series lens again which I need for weddings. Below was sharper due to more light, f10, 1/400, ISO 200, 100mm.

I have to stop playing with odd lighting combos, but we're having too much fun, and learning about our sensors capabilities/limitations in the process.

Some low-fi video made using a cheap helmet cam (for safety) and still images that represent a stream of consciousness, or set of thoughts that go through ones head when traveling. I set it to a Sonic Youth song "Tuff Gnarl" because I often find myself listening to them, and the album "Sister" especially when I drive.

Some more work I did with light, and lack of light with the addition of motion. This is part of a lesson for tomorrow morning I'm still working on.

Using a light up bouncy ball and some intermittent flash we were able to capture some odd lighting situations.
