Leif's Fisher Price

The randomness of a three year old with a camera is priceless to me, I love looking through the shots and seeing what he takes, and finds interesting.

Proud of these kids

These talented students at Brockport High are building an electric car and competing at Watkins Glen this Spring. I'm proud of the students and teachers working hard to make this happen, very few Schools in Monroe County are competing.

Car Show

Leif's dream came true, Scooby lives!

New WRX motor, what is going on here?

Recession?

being resourceful

I had a class with low attendance today, so we took 30 beat cameras, swapped parts, made repairs, cleaned and replaced optics, built strap locks from scratch, replaced missing straps, lubricated mechanicals, changed batteries, and tightened all loose mechanisms. End result 16 functional cameras back in the fleet.

early risers

The action starts early round these parts....

old stuff, I love it

My Father in Law has graciously donated these great publications, and of course the Yashica Mat 124g to the cause. Many people don't realize the value of these publications, but I'm in the darkroom everyday, so the old stuff in perfect shape become treasures I can really use. When I came home last night and looked in the garage he had dropped these off, I can't read this stuff fast enough, what happened to photography? The seventies must have ruled for film shooting in this town?

Gigi's

Here's literally the first two shots I've had time to adjust from a shoot today at Gigi's restaurant. This woman (Gigi) is the inspiration behind a lot of the great food they serve, and man they served me up a killer smoked turkey and bacon panini for lunch when I was done.

going light

I've finally consolidated my equipment to this little pile for a shoot today, minus the backdrop stands. It's an environmental portrait of a restauranter, so I plan to get them cooking, or set up for a variety of portraits that speak to their expertise.
