Mega Playhouse Finished

Thanks to my Father In law, the playhouse is finally finished. We had our first hang out up top, so Leif could do some decorating...

Thai Grilled Wings

A new creation: Thai Grilled Chicken Wings, not for the weak, these contain some beautiful fresh pepper and spices.

My recipe:

- 2lbs. fresh wings (not frozen, Wegman's)
- Rub first with olive oil, black pepper, coarse salt, a little asian five spice, chili powder, garlic powder, and   a little fresh curry powder (good stuff)
-Grill on low heat with lid down, turning often
- Finely dice one Thai chili pepper, and one jalapeno and saute
- mix in a couple spoonfuls of melted unsalted butter, Sriracha Sauce, Garlic Chili Sauce, a teaspoon of fish sauce,  a teaspoon of soy
-take of the gill and sauce in a tupperware container with lid and let rest
- then get it on, but bring your Kleenex

Jon and Annie

A great day from start to finish! The weather held out, even though I made this California couple freeze.

Anthony Vaccarelli "In The Shadows" Exhibit

I went to Anthony Vaccarelli's exhibit opening at SUNY Brockport tonight, and I was both proud and impressed. Anthony studied at Brockport High School (were I teach) and was heavily involved in the arts, although he has gone on to explore, study and create several new types of art, this show focussed on one of his passions, Comic Art. The newest work was brilliantly drawn and filled with rich color as well as horrific content, which is appropriate since the show is called, "In The Shadows". It was great to see one of my old students "sticking to his guns", and making art that he's truly passionate about.
